2012-02-06 16:11:16 Massimiliano Ballerini description In a updated install of lucid with openvpn installed and configured I get this error everytime I reboot: * Starting virtual private network daemon(s)... * Autostarting VPN 'server' [ fail.. ] Looking at the openvpn log it says: TCP/UDP: Socket bind failed on local address [AF_INET]XX.XX.XX.XX:1194: Cannot assign requested address (ip masked) I think it's something similar at what happened in karmic, the openvpn script tries to start before the network is correctly setup. Restarting openvpn service fixes everytime, but that implies human intevention (or a workaround script): root@vpnserver:~# /etc/init.d/openvpn restart * Stopping virtual private network daemon(s)... * No VPN is running. * Starting virtual private network daemon(s)... * Autostarting VPN 'server' [ OK ] In a updated install of lucid with openvpn installed and configured I get this error everytime I reboot: * Starting virtual private network daemon(s)...
