Not probably, definitely. The SONAME rename and such need to be reintroduced, and everything that was built with a dependency on libssl1.0.2 needs a rebuilt to get back to 1.0.0

Well actually, I just want libssl1.0-dev to redirect to our currently libssl-dev for now.
We are on g release and only take CVE patches in. I don't think we want to move to j release.
If anything, we want to stick to the same release as in xenial, and maybe do a jump to 1.1 if that transition goes fine in debian.

Right, openssl1.0 has been removed for now. This bug will magically block it again if it reappears (as long as no one closes it, so please don't).

Transition went fine in Debian, and we are doing it too. So, closing this bug and removing the tag.
