wizard doesn't finish when creating a new form

Bug Description

While using the open office database program, when I click on "create a form using the wizard", and put it through it's paces, I get to the Finish screen, click on "Finish" nothing happens.

No error window pops up, however this is the output when run from a terminal:

At this point, the program is still open, and it just stays there. It continues to accept clicks on the "Finish" button, but of course it doesn't actually finish.

I can ensure that this bug exist. It happened to me last night. When you click finish nothing happens. No crashes or errors it just doesn't respond

The workaround is a pain in the behind, but it does work.

You use the binaries built with Sun compiler rather than the binaries that are used in the Ubuntu repositories.

Go to the OpenOffice.org site and download the Linux version of suite (it's a Red Hat version). Un-RPM it, and go through the whole nine yards of installing the Debian version. This took about half an hour after the download.

If you look at the discussion on bug 73395 you'll see that apparently it's an issue that comes from the compiler used to build Ubuntu binaries... it'll be fixed, but it will take far more time than most of us would want to wait.

The problem is the package the java code has been compiled with. Java is
now open source, but the Java-Compiler has not been released yet, so
Debian based distributions still use free compilers. If free compilers
are used strange thigs happen.
I suggest you get the .deb packages from OOo itself and install it on
your system and everything will work - believe me, I've tested it.
But you will soon find (like I did) different bugs. Those ones should go
for tracking to OOo then!

Just happened to me midway through building a library database. Did all the actions set up subforms would not finish. Tried to set up without subforms would not finish. Went right back to initial wizard still would not finish. Not overly impressed at this point, I have come across some annoying front ends before but not this.
