OpenOffice Crashes when copy-pasting! LOST MY WORK :'(

Steps to reproduce:

1. create a new open office word document
2. type something
3. mark the text and press crtl+c
4. paste the text on a gaim chat window

This was the first time I considered moving back to my earlier operating system ...

A world processor software fault making you lose the great idea you had and also 30 minutes of typing is something unbearable.

On my earlier operating system, I can't remember of losing a work because of such problem.

This happens to me too - just opening a plain document and writing a few lines of gibberish makes it happen.

Wladston: Did you get the open office recovery dialogue appear? That should have recovered your document, if not that's another bug you should report.

Dean - yeah, i've tried the recovery - but it did not recovered my last pretty part I tried to paste to my pal on gaim...

anyways ... I've already rewritten it :)

sorry for not finding the but #62432 - I was driven by emotions - didn't even search if there was another bug :(( not going to do it again :)

but there is an important remark here - copy pasting to gaum only make it crash here. When I copy paste into HTML forms as reported on #62432, it's ok.

Odd that you're getting one crash and not the other - I only tried the GAIM one, but I've tried the beta packages in bug 62432 and they seem to have fixed the bug for me.
