Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

I cannot use the spellcheck in openoffice in Ubuntu Dapper.
I type misspelled words, open the spellcheck and the window closes again saying that spellcheck is complete.

I tried this both with English and Dutch, both languages are installed on my sytem (I like my interface in English while I'm Dutch-speaking).

This has been reported by another user on the forums too:

I can confirm this problem on Kubuntu Edgy. Automatic spell check does not work, nor does manual spell check. It seems the English dictionary is installed.

I got it working! Make sure you have a myspell dictionary installed. I installed myspell-en-us and it works now.

I can confirm in gutsy. Surely myspell-LANG should be installed by default?
