2010-05-03 19:58:56 Kevin Hunter description Binary package hint: openoffice.org Attempting to put a footnote into the caption section of a picture in Writer causes OpenOffice.org to crash 100% recreateably. Steps to recreate: 1. Insert a picture 2. Right-click on picture, choose "Caption" 3. Insert some text 4. Somewhere else in the text, create a footnote. 5. Highlight the footnote number (not the text below, the automatically created number), and cut or copy. 6. Click somewhere in the caption text, and hit try to paste the footnote. Instant crash. Putting aside for the moment that I've since learned that this may not be a supported thing to do, OpenOffice.org /still/ crashes. Of note, this Bug 366183 is very similar, but doesn't highlight the crash, so this is a distinct bug. ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: openoffice.org-writer 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-21.32-generic 2.6.32.11+drm33.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-21-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 Date: Mon May 3 15:48:53 2010 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release amd64 (20100429) ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: openoffice.org Binary package hint: openoffice.org Attempting to put a footnote into the caption section of a picture in Writer causes OpenOffice.org to crash 100% recreateably.
