Tried to upgrade my machine from karmic2lucid
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
Exception during pm.DoInstall(): E:Couldn't configure pre-depend openoffice.org-core for openoffice.

no way around this to upgrade. This machine was originally a Jaunty Machine before I upgraded it to Karmic.

I can reproduce the failure in a karmic chroot with the attached status file (by moving it to /var/lib/ dpkg/status) .
Same error: org-filter- binfilter, probably a dependency cycle.
