Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

When I try to resize the color picture in the attached document (on page 2), it sudenly re-anchors to the paragraph that starts with "In the last part of the quote...". I expect that it would remain anchored to the paragraph that starts "Avoiding hokum...".

This bug was reported against an earlier version of Ubuntu, can you test if it still occurs on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx)?

Please note we also provide technical support for older versions of Ubuntu, but not in the bug tracker. Instead, to raise the issue through normal support channels, please see:

    http://www.ubuntu.com/support

If you are the original reporter and can still reproduce the issue on Lucid, please run the following command to refresh the report:

  apport-collect 522414

Bear in mind that you may need to install the python-launchpadlib package from the universe repository. Additionally, when prompted to give apport-collect permissions for Launchpad you will need to give it at least the ability to "Change Non-Private" data as it will be adding information to your bug report.

If you are not the original reporter, please file a new bug report, so we can work with you as the original reporter instead (you can reference bug 522414 in your report if you think it may be related):

  ubuntu-bug openoffice.org

If by chance you can no longer reproduce the issue on Lucid or if you feel it is no longer relevant, please mark the bug report 'Fix Released' or 'Invalid' as appropriate, at the following URL:

We're closing this bug since it is has been some time with no response from the original reporter. However, if the issue still exists please feel free to reopen with the requested information. Also, if you could, please test against the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this confirms the bug is one we may be able to pass upstream for help.

Could you please confirm that the correct document is attached and how the problem occurs. I only see a black image on page one with Libreoffice 3.3

Okay, I see your issue now.
It seems that it just anchors to whichever paragraph the top of the image is in. Why do you feel it should do differently? How about anchor to page?

Ben Klein, thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it for LibreOffice because the bug has been fixed in the latest development version of Ubuntu - Natty Narwhal. It won't be fixed in previous versions of Ubuntu because the package doesn't fit the requirements for backporting. See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports for more information.

Perform at the Terminal:

cd ~/Desktop && wget https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/522414/+attachment/1842787/+files/Teacher%20in%20America%20Essay%202.odt && lowriter -nologo Teacher\ in\ America\ Essay\ 2.odt

Resized image on page 2 on all sides, remained anchored to "Avoiding hokum...".
