Occasionally, openoffice will get stuck in a recover loop. Try pressing cancel instead of "Start Recovery.
If it is still an issue, could you attach the document here?

I confirm this bug exists (lucid with 3.2) and have tested with upstream OpenOffice (3.2.1rc1 and 3.2 on Windows) and not observed the bug. Issue is from Ubuntu/Go-oo modifications.

Dear Bryan,

Meanwhile I upgraded in Ubuntu to OO 3.2 and the same problem.
When I open de document with AbiWord than no problem. Then I save as
.doc file and than it opens in OO.
So via another way I can read and change the file.

This for your info.

Thanks

Piet
