Arne,

Can you look into this issue? I can copy and paste those characters into OOo Writer without trouble but it may be that they can not be typed in...

Works for me without any problem. Tested with oowriter in Jaunty. I can type and display Ext. B characters.

@mandel59: can you please add a test case, so that we can reproduce the bug?
As you are using the ja_JP locale, I assume you use scim-anthy as input method? What sequence do you type and which character do you select?

Can you please post the output of 'im-switch -l' ?

im-switch -l

Your input method setup under ja_JP locale as below.
=======================================================
No private "/home/mandel59/.xinput.d/ja_JP or /home/mandel59/.xinput.d/all_ALL" is defined.
=======================================================
The system wide default is pointed by "/etc/alternatives/xinput-ja_JP" .
xinput-ja_JP -状態は auto。
 リンクは現在 scim-bridge を指しています
scim-bridge - 優先度 60
scim - 優先度 50
scim-immodule - 優先度 0
現在の `最適' バージョンは scim-bridge です。
=======================================================
The available input method configuration files are:
/usr/bin/find: `/home/mandel59/.xinput.d': No such file or directory
default default-xim none scim scim-bridge scim-immodule th-xim
=======================================================

I've taken some screen-shots.
