keyboard crash on Ooo

Bug #336137 reported by egiova

Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

With Writer happened suddenly a kind of inversion of Caps and "minúsculas".
I have to let caps tab on to be able to type normally. It begins with Writer and then affect the whole system.

After inserting tables began the problem, even after reseting the aplication. I use latin american keyboard configuration on Ubuntu 8.04.

That's all, good night.

Thanks your mail about this bug.
So if I understood well, I'll have to disconnect "autocorrect" to avoid this
bug?
Am I right?
How can I do this? Don't answer that, I'll check on documentation...
Many thanks for your reply thought.

Well doing that should resolve the problem as a workaround. It really is a bug though and long term they should not be directly polling the key state since it can mean different things other than caps lock. I have already sent the bug to the OOo developers which was why I marked this bug as a duplicate of the other bug relating to this issue.
