New OpenOffice.org Icons Should Be Used In Menus

Bug Description

In Windows, the new new shiny OpenOffice.org2 icons are used. Why is dapper still using the ugly 1.0 ones? They don't match the icon theme at all, and the icons aren't really descriptive of the function. The new 2.0 icons would look much better.

Do you have a screenshot of the icons you use at the moment and of the new icons you expect?

The icons are shipped in /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/ but are not used by default

I agree that these icons would be an improvement, esp. in the Applications -> Office menu.

The current icons are the icons used by the Gnome project, and probably should stay this way. CCed some Gnome people.

Jeff, any opinion on that?

There will be icons provided with our new Human theme. I'd recommend sticking with the GNOME ones, given that ours will be most similar to those. See: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DapperUbuntuIcons

I figured I'd just ship them in the Numan theme - do you need to make changes in OOo if we do that? I didn't think it would require any work on your end. :-)
