Uncropping the image causes it to reappear.
This bug does not affect cropping of .jpg, .bmp, .png or .gif images: possibly related to .eps being a vector format?

3) What is expected to happen in LibreOffice Impress via the Terminal:

press F5, the cropped .eps graph viewable in edit mode is viewed in Slide Show successfully.
4) What happens instead is it shows a blank slide in Slide Show.
WORKAROUND: click the graph -> Format -> Default Format and notice the graph is viewable in Slide Show.
WORKAROUND Crop the file in an alternate image manipulation program, then insert the file.
