Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Ubuntu 8.04.1, OO 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu2

Write "something" to empty cell. Click Input line, choose all with Conrol-A, click hyperlink. Add a target, apply, close.
After that click Input line again, press space and type "Text". That text goes middle of the "something". Cell now shows "somextething T". Input line still shows "something Text", but it changes. See picture calc1. Problem seems to occur especially when using slash-mark or capital letter, but it can also appear without them.

Sometimes text goes where it should go, but cell is no more hyperlink and pressing backspace will cause disappearing of first letters instead of last ones, as if cursor would be in the middle of "something".

Do you still have this problem with the new version of OOo in the ppa at https://launchpad.net/~openoffice-pkgs/+archive ?

[This is an automated message.]
There are no new official OpenOffice.org releases in Ubuntu packaging anymore => Won't Fix

If the problem persists, please mark this bug as "also affects project Libreoffice" or "also affects distribution Libreoffice (Ubuntu)" if that has not happened already.

Please leave references to upstream OpenOffice.org bugs in place to allow cross pollination.
