Bug Description

When trying to export an ODT document to LaTeX
('File' -> 'Export' -> 'LaTeX')
the export fails with OOo complaining about missing Java environment (JRE, see attached screenshot). The error seems not constrained by the content of the document.

The package openoffice.org-java-common ist installed. Even re-installing the package didn't help.

System is Kubuntu Hardy Heron

I would say that the bug is in the message `Please install the openoffice.org-java-common package for this functionality.' This package doesn't pull in a full JRE. Installing sun-java6-jre should help.

I already had the package sun-java6-jre 6-06-0ubuntu1 installed. Reinstalling doesn't help.

For the sake of completeness: The same error occurs when trying to export as HTML/XHTML.

Do you still have this problem with openoffice.org 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu2 in Ubuntu 8.04?

The prolem is/was just a misleading error message. JRE was installed but not selected in the OOo options. So explicitely adding the installed JRE in the options menu solves thsi problem.
Bug can be closed in my opinion. Thanks for your commitment.
