[upstream] [hardy] openoffice complains that jre is not present or is broken. It is actually present and unbroken.

Bug Description
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
on launch of openoffice 2.4 in hardy ubuntu (upgrade from gutsy), multiple error diaolg boxes all saying that jre is required and is either not present or broken. Same display upon attempt to save file changes and upon closing down openoffice. Reinstall openoffice and java via Synaptic not productive.
