Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Openoffice.org's splash was recently replaced by a weird black square with a blue progress bar. Maybe someone forgot to set something while packaging, or maybe I'm experiencing a very very weird video problem, or there was a strange corruption in my system. I think the first option (or similar) is currently the most probable (to my knowledge), so I'm reporting it as a bug here.

I'm attaching an screenshot.

forgot to mention I'm using Hardy x86_64, with all the latest updates until now (04/16, 00:50pm). Ask me if there's any additional info needed.

I have to disagree. I still have the black splash screen with the latest version.

fred@fred-laptop:~$ apt-cache showpkg openoffice.org

That is just the meta package. Is your eg openoffice.org-writer, openoffice.org-core, and openoffice.org-common all 1:2.4.0-3ubuntu4 also?

If not update them, since they are now in the archive.

Chris

Something like 50 Mb were downloaded when I've done a sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude upgrade before posting my previous comment.

I'm not in front of my ubuntu based PC right now, but I remember writer, core and some others - maybe all - were upgraded.

Seems like my packages were not all upgraded. No more bug ;)
