I am able to reproduce this. When autospell check is ON, it is not able to detect the spellos. Even when I manually run the spell, it doesn't detect the spellos. I wonder if there is any extra options to be enabled to make the spell check work. Shouldn't it work by default, if so?

Changed in openoffice.org2:
status: New → Confirmed
