open office 2.3 presentation splash appears,blue line runs accross botom then stops and splash screen remains

Thank you for your bug report.
This sounds like bug 131526. Please test it with another Gtk/Gnome theme (e.g. "Human") and report back, if this works around it.

I changed the theme to "Human" as you suggested,and am now able to open OE
Presentation.
