Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org-writer

Kubuntu 7.10 Desktop - All updates applied
Open Office 2.3.0

When I open http://documentation.openoffice.org/Samples_Templates/User/template_2_x/writer/Thesis.ott OpenOffice.org crashes and then automatically recovers the (blank) document.

Using OpenOffice.org 2.3.0 at Windows XP doesn't crash.

TEST CASE:

Open above template file if it doesn't crash then the bug is corrected.

This file needs to have openoffice.org-base installed to open without writer crashing.

The document in these bug reports need the following library installed for the crash to stop happening:

/usr/lib/openoffice/program/libdba680li.so

I can confirm this. The same here on an up-to-date (Nov., 15th, 2007) Kubuntu 7.10 when loading OpenOffice.org Calc templates.
Problem was gone after installing 'openoffice.org-base' + dependencies.
