Openoffice refuses to launch (gutsy)

Bug Description

Version of Openoffice : 2.2.1-5ubuntu3

When I launch Openoffice, I got the splash screen but nothing more.

Here is the message given when executing oowriter in a terminal :

(process:5898): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: /build/buildd/glib2.0-2.13.7/gobject/gtype.c:2242: initialization assertion failed, use IA__g_type_init() prior to this function

I tested versions back until openoffice.org 2.2.0-1ubuntu3.
Maybe it's a regression (or new assertion) in glib and not openoffice.org.

Confirming this bug and changing importance to High since a default Ubuntu installation generally unusable for some users.
