So you are running 2.2.0-1ubuntu4 on feisty? What gnome icon theme and openoffice theme are you using?

Thanks,

Chris

Indeed, I have version 2.2.0-1ubuntu4 on feisty.

My icon theme on openoffice is "automatic".I have tried every openoffice icon theme (industrial/crystal/...) but I get no icons in every case.

My gnome icon theme is Tango. I have change the icon theme to Human and relaunched openoffice and I could see the human icon in openoffice. I tried again to change the openoffice icon theme to crystal/industrial/human... No icons again, only the "automatic" option display icons when human gnome theme is selected.

I'm pretty sure you have to install the other icon styles in openoffice before manually selecting them inside openoffice will work. For some reason automatic works for all gnome icon themes except for Tango, at least in my testing.

Indeed, only the human icon theme for openoffice is installed in my system. I have installed the tango icon theme for openoffice via synaptic. I know have icons in openoffice when I use the tango gnome theme. This solve my problem.

It is a pity to have such problem, as the tango icon theme for gnome is provided by default in a fresh Ubuntu installation.

Ubuntu 7.04 updated today.

# apt-get install openoffice.org-style-tango
