openjdk-8 is not available in precise; and the current version in development release (vivid) has all build-dependencies satisfied.

If you want to provide a backport, please follow one of the procedures described in <http://packaging.ubuntu.com/html/backports.html>.

Yes I *know*, of course. But Doko's packages work for older
releases as well, by a simple "debian/rules control" before
rebuilding. Which is why I provided a patch to the most
obvious place.

Now I see what you mean. I am then passing it to doko, he probably can include it in his next Debian/Ubuntu uploads (I don't want to include more delta).
