Bug Description

Hi guys,

I came across a patched openJDK which makes java use native font styles. I have been using this in ubuntu 12.04, 13.04 and 13.10 and it works absolutely fine. Is it possible to introduce this by default in ubuntu 14.04?

It would be a great feature for Java folks using Ubuntu.

I am using this ppa : https://launchpad.net/~no1wantdthisname/+archive/openjdk-fontfix

Regards,

Saurabh Rawat

I was able to get it to work in ubuntu 14.04 by doing it the manual way. I downloaded all package files from here https://launchpad.net/~no1wantdthisname/+archive/openjdk-fontfix/+packages (amd64 or i386. not both) into a directory. and did a sudo dpkg -i *.deb on it via terminal.

--enable-infinality isn't supported by Ubuntu's truetype package. so please get these patches into truetype upstream first.
