For reproducing this, can you tell us which version of openjdk-7 you're on as well as which release of Ubuntu you're on? (12.04, 12.10, Precise, Quantal, etc.)

Also, whether you're using openjdk-7-jdk, openjdk-7-jre, etc. (I'm assuming the JDK, but you never know)

Notes:
Unable to reproduce on Quantal VM using latest kernel and most up to date openjdk-7-jdk.

Dan, one thing i should point out: The eclipse you're using isn't in the repos. If I"m unable to reproduce, then its likely others won't be able to reproduce this. Having said this, the eclipse you're running, since it's not in the repositories, can't be fixed in Ubuntu, you'd have to submit this information to Eclipse.

Also, you need to provide some more information, per my prior comments. I'm marking this as "Incomplete" in the mean time.

Thanks Thomas,

I am using Ubuntu 12.10
The output of `sudo update-java-alternatives --list`:

java-1.6.0-openjdk-amd64 1061 /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-openjdk-amd64
java-1.7.0-openjdk-amd64 1071 /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.7.0-openjdk-amd64

And I tried to remove 1.7 and 1.6 to see which one the rest of Ubuntu
depended on. It was 1.7
It's ok if you guys can't reproduce this, Eclipse runs ok after the first
run. I just thought it might be useful to know in case this causes other
bugs down the line.
