Bug Description

Description: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch)
Release: 9.04

I have installed the icedtea6-plugin package.
Tested it by visiting:
http://www.javatester.org/version.html

A box is shown where the version was expected to appear and a java process is launched using 100% of CPU.

Confirmed.

Plugin eats 100% of CPU when it's started in FF.

FF can't be closed properly either...window closes, but FF process eats 100% CPU after closing the window.

The very same plugin used in konqueror (kde4.x in jaunty) works as expected and doesn't eat the whole CPU..

Changed in openjdk-6 (Ubuntu):
status: New → Confirmed

This is the output I got when trying to set openjdk as default via the terminal. Hope this is useful.

I noticed that appletviewer it mentions as not existing appears to simply be renamed to pluginappletviewer.
