problem with batik when running umlet

Bug Description

Running umlet (http://www.umlet.com/, version 8.01), export of UML
diagrams to jpeg most often fails when umlet is run with OpenJDK,
while it works nicely with the Sun JRE. The error appears somewhere
in batik.
