openjdk does not place windows properly on multi-monitor configration

openjdk-6 (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

OpenJDK opens windows at the center of the entire desktop - not the center of the active screen as the window manager indicates. I believe openjdk needs to be compiled with xinerama support, or perhaps allow the window manager to place windows.

To reproduce, just run:
javaws http://www.soapui.org/jnlp/2.0.2/soapui.jnlp
and watch the windows popup in between screens.

please could you recheck this with 6b10 from intrepid or from the hardy openjdk PPA?

Has anyone found an upstream bug related to this? And is this issue being worked on by anyone?

no, you might want to recheck with updated packages (both openjdk-6 and openjdk-7) found here:
