"Select a Profile" Next button does not work

Created a new database (via web client), logged in, and it asks "Select a Profile", but the next button does nothing.

Using Firebug I notice that a number of files are getting 404's, and a function that the button calls is not defined. Here are the URLs giving 404's:

Clean install 32-bit VirtualBox VM using Ubuntu 11.04 minimal, everything upgraded to latest versions. The type of install was "server". After which I did "apt-get install openerp-server openerp-web". Had to set the postgresql password in the config after running the lines in "README.Debian", then went to use the web client.

I have checked your bug report but as per
your bug description (Select Profile) I think you
have used openerp web 5.0 but currently the latest
openerp version 6.1 has been released.

so would you please try with latest openerp version.

if you still face the same problem then please update us with the more
information.

Hi Jignesh, sadly 6.1 is not what's in the repo's. "5.0.15+dfsg-2" is the latest version in the repos for 11.04. Would I be better off with the older 10.04 LTS release?

Thanks a lot for reporting this bug and contributing to OpenERP. Unfortunately the OpenERP Web Client project is not going to be developed further after the 6.0 series. As of 6.1 a newer and better web frontend known as the OpenERP Web project[1] will be available.
Our R&D developers normally work in Launchpad to fix bugs for the next release, but there will be no next release for the current OpenERP Web Client. As our resources are limited, all further R&D efforts from the Web team are dedicated to finish the new 6.1 OpenERP Web project[1].
This bug will be closed as "Won't Fix" to show that R&D won't be able to work on it.

Bugs affecting customers in production of course continue to be handled via the OpenERP Enterprise (OPW) maintenance service, and this is the recommended way to have them corrected directly in the 6.0 LTS stable branch.
You can find more details about all of this in the FAQ of our Bug Management Policy documentation[2].

If you are interested, you should soon be able to beta-test the new OpenERP Web 6.1 (this will be announced on OpenERP Community channels).
