Hello.
There is version 8.0 already available but Ubuntu package is still 7.0
It would be good to have it updated in the repository.

Openclonk 8.0-2 is in bionic-proposed https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openclonk/8.0-2, but seems to currently fail to build on arm64. If that is fixed, I would assume it to be part of the upcoming 18.04 release.

I've filed 1751597 now. Though I don't really know how it can be fixed, hopefully someone will come across it. (Since it is tagged "ftbfs" it will also add an automatical link at http://qa.ubuntuwire.com/ftbfs/)

Looks like openclonk 8.0-2 was included despite the build failure and is now available in Ubuntu 18.04.
