Same problem here:
Sending mails in pure text without attachments is possible.

Also, it's not possible to browser the global adresslist.
Personal contact list stored on Exchange is useable.

I cannot send in HTML or text, unless its a one word email in which case it will send as plain text.

(I believe I read about a similar bug a while ago due to mail being over a certain size relating to this but I cannot find it)

Sebastian Martinez (tychocity) wrote :

i confirm same bug in evolution-mapi 3.6.0-0ubuntu1 and exchange 2003 cluster environment.

this error appears when i reply to all.

I can confirm this bug. I can send out emails in plain text but not in HTML.

I confirm this bug too.
mapi v3.6.0-0ubuntu1 / Exchange 2003 / ubuntu 12.10 recently updated from 12.04
MAPI_E_CALL_FAILED (0x80004005)

Sebastian Martinez (tychocity) wrote :

If I delete the text of the message can be sent, may be by mail size?

Bakay Árpád (arpad-bakay) wrote :

I can also confirm the same error, just after a 12.10 upgrade.

I also found that mails below some limit (like 800-1000 plain ASCII chars) send OK, but longer ones fail, even if the mail is still plain ASCII.

Rebuilding Evo ('stable' 3.6.1 from the Gnome download site), did not help either, so I have created the following bugreport for Evolution:

How much work is it to include the fix in the 12.10 packages?

mapi v3.6.0-0ubuntu1 / Evolution 3.6.0 / Exchange 2010 / LinuxMint 14 (Ubuntu 12.10) recently updated from LinuxMint 13 (Ubuntu 12.04)

MAPI_E_CALL_FAILED (0x80004005)

I just tested your package - it works! Awesome!

I'm so happy, that i do not need our Citrix-provided Outlook anymore! It's an early Christmas present for me!

Don't know why the ubuntu guys don't fix it in their repository.
