Bug Description
The version of OpenAFS distributed in several of the supported releases is completely nonfunctional. This is because it needs a patch to address a bug in the protocol that was released this January.

Without these fixes, users of OpenAFS on Ubuntu are unable to run both the client and the server. There is a PPA that we've been telling people to use, but it isn't obvious to use it and we often have people coming in asking why it doesn't work in Ubuntu out of the box.
