Bug Description
Upstream: 0.101
Debian: 0.100-3
Ubuntu: 0.100-3ubuntu3
Debian typically updates open-isns every 5 months on average, but it was last updated 20.12 and looks overdue. There is a new upstream version, however, so may be worth going ahead of debian and/or updating it in Debian and syncing it.

open-isns (0.96-4) unstable; urgency=medium
* debian/tests: refactor code, show isnsd status if auth test fails
* Rename libisns0-udeb to libisns-
The udeb only contains the library required for future open-iscsi
versions (there is no need to run an iSNS server in a d-i
environment), which is the variant that's not linked against OpenSSL
to be compatible with the GPL. In contrast to libisns0, which
contains both versions of the library (including the OpenSSL-linked
libisns.so.0), the package name of the udeb should reflect the name
of the library included.

Our delta is trivial (FTBFS) /git.launchpad. net/ubuntu/ +source/ open-isns/ commit/ ?id=7e9bfa4f7d7 9b465b8e441ccb6 a140fcf2b51b80

Since then all are just no change rebuilds.
This now is also visible in Debian (due to libc upgrade) /bugs.debian. org/cgi- bin/bugreport. cgi?bug= 994672
https:/
We expected Debian moves, does the same and we can merge.
But maybe they need some help.
In addition there is a new version upstream /github. com/open- iscsi/open- isns/compare/ v0.100. ..v0.101
https:/
That might help as well.
Suggestion for a plan:
1. prep 0.101 for Debian unstable
2. check if the Werror fix is still needed
3. Submit to Debian via Salsa and help to get it merged
4. sync to Ubuntu for 22.04
If 4 fails we can still upload the same to Ubuntu in time.
