the cat or dog dosent follow the mouse instead it follows the last place i clicked before opening and i can only move them by clicking on them but they move to the place i clicked. updated to unbuntu 21.04.

Windowing system: WayLand
i tried to update it Via terminal but i get this:
oneko is already the newest version (1.2.sakura.6-15).
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
and i'm up to date
i expected it to follow my cursor like before 21.04 but it did not.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
I'm not sure anything will be done about this, as the program was designed to be used with X11 and not Wayland.
If you use a X11 session, does it work?
Were you intending this to be read as a feature request?
