The issue appears to be intermittent.

I am getting this bug on two different installations.
I first noticed it on an Intel D945CGLF-2 motherboard using Ubuntu precise 64 bit - Intel Atom n330 processor and 945 chipset.
It is also happening on on an Asus EeePC model 900 using Ubuntu precise 32 bit - Intel Atom n270 processor and 945 chipset.
