Thanks for reporting this bug and help to make ubuntu better.

This crash seems to show that the server part is crashing, can you get an "oneconf-service" crash dialog so that I can debug it?

Thanks :)

On an Oneiric i386 system, I got this crash after a crash in oneconf-service (as expected, given the information here), but I was unable to report that crash because oneconf was at an obsolete package version. oneconf on my system is now at 0.2.6.7, and if I get the crash again, I'll make sure to report it and to comment here indicating what bug it is (unless someone else has done so already).

Didier, does bug #859410 document the sort of oneconf-service crash that you require?

I can confirm that this is happening now with every apt-get instance now and the crash appears during "ldconfig deferred processing now taking place".

As written in dupe, no specific user interaction. Happened after resume, just Nautilus was open.

You shold have a oneconf-service crash file as well at the same time. can you please report this bug as well (this crash is due to the service crashing)?

My oneconf-service bug(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/oneconf/+bug/912437) is marked as a duplicate of bug 849037, which is unfortunately private. Hope this helps.

@reporters: you should get another crash (service side, oneconf-service) when getting this one.
This is the important one to get feedback on. Please do not hestiate to post it when you get one (this timeout is just a consequence of it) :)

I believe that bug 948691 is the relevant oneconf-service crash. Does that help?

I had a corrupted ~/.cache/oneconf directory, causing oneconf-server to crash (a KeyError in hosts.py: self.current_host['hostid']) and then I would see the same DBusException from the oneconf-query client as described above.

Deleting ~/.cache/oneconf fixed it for me.
