Bug Description

The Onboard 0.98.1 bugfix release has just been published. I have packaged it for Ubuntu Quantal.

Here are the changes between version 0.98.0-0ubuntu2 and the proposed 0.98.1-0ubuntu1 package (taken from debian/changelog):

  * Sponsorship request for Ubuntu Quantal (LP: #1057518)
  * Try to raise Onboard on top of full-screen windows (LP: #1035578)
  * Don't auto-start Onboard in GNOME Shell when a11y key is set (LP: #879942)
  * Fix status icon showing in MATE, Xfce and others (LP: #1044918)
  * Do not have the mono icons appear in Unity Launcher
  * Do not abort startup if dconf key migration fails
  * Hide preferences button if g-c-c isn't in PATH (LP: #1053194)
  * Give --not-show-in less chance to cause D-Bus timeouts in GNOME Shell
  * Also add stack traces to file logging
  * Lighten up shadows in Ambiance theme
  * Fix configuring of Direct Scan
  * Fix vendor/product id lookup of input devices
  * Fix input device listing in the Preferences dialog
  * Remove redundant code from the Preferences dialog
  * Fix opening SVG files when used in python2 mode
  * Sync with translations of 0.98 in rosetta as of 2012-09-27

Before releasing version 0.98.1, it was tested in unity, gnome-shell, gnome fallback and xfce.

The 0.98.1-0ubuntu1 package attached to this bug thread builds in pbuilder.

Could anybody please review it to get it uploaded into the main repository?

Thanks in advance.

I think uploading a debdiff between the current version in Quantal and the one you provided here would be a better approach to updating the package.

Francesco Fumanti (frafu) wrote :

I did not produce a debdiff because I have not packaged a modification of the package currently in the Ubuntu repositories; I packaged a new upstream release. Please, tell me whether you need the debdiffs also for new upstream releases.

Thanks in advance.

This looks like it has UI changes which require a freeze exception, see for more information. Unsubscribing ubuntu-sponsors for the moment

changing the tag from rls-q-incoming to rls-q-notfixing, it's not likely to land for release at this point, it's still possible as a SRU though if the UIFe concerns are addressed and the SRU team is ok with it

@Micah Gersten

Could you please tell us, why you think that it has UI changes?

Thanks in advance.
