Bug Description

After upgrading from Ubuntu 16.04 to Ubuntu 16.10, okular stopped recognizing accented characters in user interface and text annotations.

Previous to the upgrade, I could input characters such as á, é, etc. Nowadays, when I try to input the same characters, I get ´a´e´i and so.

I tried different settings for the input method, but the problem persists.

Has this been addressed? I am trying to search for a word in Spanish in a huge document and I can put a diacritic so the search is broken for me. Searching for the letters before the diacritic is pointless since I am getting too much results.
