The plugin Plugin_CgProgramManager is not being installed

Bug Description

This plugin is not installed but is required in many of the Samples. The ogre package is not self-sufficient without it and thus should include it.

I tried building Ogre from source and installing this plugin manually along with the other plugins, but the installed SampleBrowser will not use it.

Ok I found out that a plugin needs to be referenced in the /usr/share/OGRE-1.8.X/plugins.cfg file in order to be loaded. However, after defining it in the referenced file, now none of the textures in the SampleBrowser load. Everything is white and the message "An exception has occured: OGRE EXCEPTION(5:ItemIdentityException): Can not find codec for 'png' ima ge format." can be read in the output.
