SIM unlock dialog can not be brought up on arale at all

moving my SIM from my krillin to the arale leaves me with a locked SIM that can not be unlocked ...
the unlock dialog on boot does not come up at all, the unlock button in indicator or system-settings is a complete no-op
using the enter-pin script from ofono-scripts works.

the krillin and arale use the exact same rc-proposed image and as mentioned above it works flawless with krillin.

Confirmed on the same image than the OP. It worked only once for me, then on another boot it prompted me for a PUK code, otherwise I get no prompt on boot and no unlock dialog when I tap on 'unlock' in the indicator.

I'm not seeing this in the uk on giffgaff.
I do see a small delay a box slowly appear at the top of screen and then the unlock pin dialogue emerge.

Tried a bunch of different UK SIMs in my Arale and all of them unlocked successfully (or produced the correct SIM permanently blocked error, on my blocked SIM)

It is really fixed, the commit message is wrong and should have been:
"Wait for SIM Manager interface to be fully initialised before we try and unlock any SIMs"
