Bug Description

Since flashing to devel-proposed (r115) the phone will no longer make a 3g data connection. When I switch off wifi, the top menu will always display a 2g connection only.

current OS: Ubuntu 15.04 (r117) (but discovered on r115, which was a frech install)
channel: devel-proposed
device: Mako

attached: output of ofono scripts:

'/usr/share/ofono/scripts/get-tech-preference'

Technology preference: umts

 '/usr/share/ofono/scripts/list-modems'

I should add that this is not

https://launchpad.net/bugs/1422928

because in my case, I have the 2G/3G button available to select in the cellular UI. It just doesnt do anything.

So the radio tech preference is being honored as NetworkRegistration shows that you have a 'gsm' connection for voice, however the bearer technology for your data connection is indeed 'edge'.

What operator are you using?

Does RTM establish a 3g data connection?

Have you touched the modem firmware at all and/or flashed Android on the device recently?
