On krillin without touching the phone, the signal often changes from 3 or 4 bars on both SIMs, to "Denied" on SIM1 and "No Signal" on SIM2. It stays like this few seconds to several minutes then back to full signal.

When you say signal changes "from four bars to Denied", are you referring to the signal strenth icon on the panel, or the icon displayed by the network-menu?
A couple things would be super-helpful.
1. Can you confirm on the latest stable RTM image ( #44 ) or later?
2. As root, please run list-modems ( /usr/share/ ofono/scripts/ list-modems ) and add it's output to the bug.
3. Again as root, please run the monitor-ofono script ( same place as list-modems ) and redirect it's output to a file. Leave it running until you see the problem manifest itself. This will allow us to see the modem state changes related to the SIM states.
4. If possible, please try to grab a screen shot?
