Bug Description

Binary package hint: oem-config

I did an oem install from d-i 20070808.1 gutsy i386.

I messed around with the system in the oem setup account for a bit and then I double-clicked on "Prepare for shipping to end user".

Nothing seemed to happen. I double-clicked on it again and again it did nothing.

I opened an xterm and typed
 $ oem-config-prepare
at which point gksu asked for my password and I got the message "System startup links for /etc/init.d/oem-config already exist. oem-config will run the next time the system boots."

So I think it must have actually worked but just failed to give me any indication that it had done so.

oem-config (1.19) gutsy; urgency=low

  * Run gnome-settings-daemon so that we use the normal theme (LP: #23899).
  * Use zenity or kdialog if available to display oem-config-prepare's
    acknowledgement message (LP: #131309).
