Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I am unable to reproduce this bug on Ubuntu 12.04 by removing and reinstalling the octave3.2 package.

I notice that you have the fglrx package installed. This package should be providing the libGL.so.1 library that appears to be missing on your system. Something might be missing or misconfigured on your system. If you still see this error occurring, what is the complete output of the following command:

  $ ldconfig -p | grep libGL.so.1

Does uninstalling and reinstalling the fglrx package fix or change anything?

Hi Mike

Thanks for looking into this. Unfortunately I'm no longer using octave, so I can't report on this anymore. If I am the only one who reported on this, I would assume that it was indeed a misconfigured system that caused it and consider this bug resolved.

Thanks for responding that you no longer have a way to reproduce this.

There were a few users who claimed that this bug affects them too, so I will leave this bug in the incomplete state in case anyone else subscribed can provide more information to help debug the error. Otherwise it will expire and close automatically after some time.
