Bug Description

The obs-studio that we provide in Ubuntu is pretty much useless, because it's missing some key features, like browser objects and a better integration with some streaming platforms, such as Twitch.

I always need to use obs-studio from ppa:obsproject/obs-studio and that is not a big problem, but it's very annoying when the version of obs-studio in the archive is updated and it overrides the version from the ppa, because it's completely breaking my setup. I know I can `apt-mark hold obs-studio`, but it's still quite annoying...

I'm wondering why it's problematic to provide the same features that the version in ppa:obsprojects/obs-studio in our main archive... I'd be happy just with the browser object support.

Fwiw, there is some discussion in https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=956086 which seems to be a Debian bug report talking about the same issue. Based on the discussion (and other mentioned reports) it looks like the main question is how to handle the chromium-embedded-framework in order to get the browser plugin working.
