Kubuntu 15.10 loading nvidia profile also fails. It jums back to intel profile or if somehow use nvidia, booting ends with black screen where sddm should be loaded.

One more thing: if i use previous driver version (for exaple 355.06 from this ppa https://launchpad.net/~mamarley/+archive/ubuntu/nvidia) all works fine. The problem exists with latest drivers.

Just to note -
On Ubuntu-gnome 15.10 install, same hardware have gotten nvidia via nvidia-prime to work. Initially on fresh install it did the same, ie. black greeter, black login.
Downgrading those 2 xorg packages & a reboot allowed nvidia to work. Then upgraded xserver back & it still worked fine.
Today there was a kernel & some other upgrades, after reboot nvidia again failed thru several boot up attempts. Downgraded initramfs-tools/bin, reboot & works again. Upgraded initramfs-tools/bin & continues to work.
So -
Makes no sense at all..

A fresh 15.10 Ubuntu install on same hardware today remains totally unable to use nvidia thru nvidia prime, xorg crash report on first attempted login is here, likely unremarkable & possibly worthless due to no various debug symbols -

On 2 new 09/22 image installs -
Ubuntu-Gnome - install nvidia-352, reboot, works on nvidia fine
Ubuntu - install nvidia-352, reboot, no display (black) on unity-greeter, no display on log in (blind from greeter

Same as the other, the temporary solution is
CTRL+ALT+F1
sudo prime-select intel
reboot

When Intel is active it works.
