4) What happened instead

I am using nvidia-346 graphics drivers.

Hello,
I'm also experiencing the same problem on a Kubuntu 15.04 System with nvidia-prime and nvidia-346-updates.

Sometimes resuming killed kwin and after restarting kwin the system worked normally.
So i figured that killing kwin and and starting it again after that would be a workaround for the problem.

Typing blindly

"killall kwin_x11
kwin_x11"

into krunner does the trick.

However putting that into a script inside /etc/pm/sleep.d/ does not seem to work.

Best regards

I've also been having this problem - I just found this bug finally as its buried under a lot of other issues that effect bootup etc. My system boots into plasma just fine but suspending is a big no-no (used to work great in 14.x) I did try switching to noveau drivers and purging the nvidia drivers then re-installing. It seemed like it worked for a day or two (maybe until I actually rebooted) and now we're back to not working. I prefer the nvidia drivers but any suggestions outside of stop using them would be appreciated.

I can confirm this problem.

It also appears when docking/undocking my Laptop, which makes Kubuntu 15.04 pretty much a no go.

On a desktop, with a Nvidia GTX 970 and nvidia-346, I also experience this problem when suspending to RAM.

I don't see any progress on this. I'm not sure that all the people being notified by the bug realize that they need to click the yellow pencil right under the title of the bug and choose the "This affects me" option to increase the "heat" to help get this moved up the priority list.
