Comment 39 for bug 982710

As a test I installed 302.07. It exhibits the same problem of initial snappy response and then, after a period, several-second delays in certain graphical tasks. Moreover, it takes 5 times longer to run the matlab 3-D benchmark than did any of the 295.x series.

On the whole, in my experience 295.20 is the least broken of the group that I have tried (295.2, 295.4, 295.49, 302.07).
