For me updating the driver with NVidia .run file does not work.
If I remove all nvidia drivers first, the system uses nouveau after I execute the .run file.
If I keep the 295.33 driver and execute the .run file, the kernel module stays in 295.33 version.
I also tried to create /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia.conf file wit the content
blacklist nouveau
but no luck yet. I am still using the 295.33, which I can install from the .deb file.
