After latest round of updates, x-failsafe kicks in,
When exiting to console lightdm starts normally with "start lightm"

ATM i randomly boot in x failsafe or directly to console, i guess depending weather its a full moon or not.
purging and reinstalling nvidia/lightdm did not do anything (well after reinstalling lightdm x did not work at all anymore, but that should be in another bug report, had to manually change permissions of .xauthority)

any suggestions?

So after removing package "nvidia-current" and only keeping "nvidia-current-updates" i can finally boot into X
no idea whats the difference between those packages, description is the same, no idea why x failsafe also fails on boottime when "nvidia-current" is installed.
Anyhow, this should be looked into by someone with more insight than me

Well worked for 2 days, now boots into x failsafe 100% of the time, switching to console login in as root and executing start lightdm works tho.
